Identify a real-world problem connected to one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and build a solution that helps make our cities and communities better places.

You have 5 hours to hack, build, and prototype your idea.

Your project can be anything from an app or website to an AI tool, hardware concept, data-driven solution, or other creative technology.

Think: What problem do people in your community face, and how can technology help solve it?

💡 Your project should:
  • Address a real-world problem

  • Connect to at least one UN SDG

  • Have a clear target user or community

  • Demonstrate a working prototype or proof of concept

  • Show how your solution could create real-world impact

What to Submit

By the end of the 5-hour hacking period, submit:

  1. Working Prototype

    • A functional demo, MVP, or proof of concept

    • Your project should be accessible to judges where possible

  2. Project Description

    • What problem are you solving?

    • Who is affected?

    • Which SDGHow might we use technology to create a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future? The world's cities face complex challenges — from climate change and resource consumption to mobility, housing, accessibility, public health, and beyond.

    • 2(s) does it address?

    • How does your solution work?

    • What impact could it have?

  3. Repository / Project Link

    • GitHub or another relevant link containing your code/project

  4. Demo / Presentation

    • Be ready to demonstrate your solution to the judges

    • Clearly explain the problem, your solution, and its potential impact
